#JustGo
Close your eyes and remove yourself from the norm. Picture your toes sinking into Caribbean sand of St. Somewhere as the waves kiss your ankles. It’s a serene feeling that everyone should experience. Castaway Crystal and myself live that life and want to share it with you. If you have a love of the Caribbean and the island lifestyle then you have come to the right place.
The Castaways
A Castaway is what we call RumShopRyan readers. It’s kind of like a Parrothead, beach bum, island dreamer, jet setter, pirate/mermaid, and rum hound all rolled into one. It’s a fantastic combination and I love each and everyone of you!
Why RumShopRyan
Why the name RumShopRyan? Because rum is good and it makes me happy. Seriously though, I chose the name because of what a rum shop is. In the Caribbean, rum is king. In the islands, there are places called rum shops where friends come to socialize or “lime” as they call it. People from all walks of life conversing over a flask of rum as equals. That’s what I want RumShopRyan.com to be, a place for Caribbean loving people to come and share their love of the salt life.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails and JUST GO!”

“Once you experience the blue waters of the Caribbean, you’ll be hooked. The soul will turn salty and you’ll crave more. The only thing to do is grab a camera and surrender yourself to the pleasurable pull of its beauty.”
