Ocean Edge Designs is a line of carefully crafted jewelry designed by Lisa Moy Di Noia. Most of the pieces feature authentic surf tumbled sea glass that was dumped by the old Victorian glass factories from England back in the 1800’s.

“I enjoy creating jewelry that will mean something special, that will connect to someone personally, become a family heirloom and is eco-friendly. Each piece of jewelry features genuine surf tumbled sea glass, sea shells, beach stones or eco friendly nuts, seeds and plants, sometimes a combination. The metal that I use is 100% recycled solid ARGENTIUM® sterling silver that is hand sculpted and formed by me. Argentium sterling silver is the highest quality sterling silver, is tarnish resistant, whiter and brighter than white gold and platinum, as well as hypoallergenic.“

I’m a history buff so the centuries old story of sea glass is very interesting to me. Each piece has its own origin, its own unique story. It’s fascinating to think about what each piece once was in its previous life. Was is a glass bottle used by sailors, maybe even a rum bottle? Fascinating to think about.

“I have been collecting sea glass from childhood.  I started to do intense research in 2008 on sea glass.  I am a self taught artist, in 2009 a friend showed me the traditional way of wire wrapping.  Not being a conformist I made my own way and opened my Etsy shop in 2010. Now I have combined wire wrapping and metal work techniques in my current work.  The wire is 100% recycled Argentium® Sterling Silver which is whiter and brighter than both white gold and platinum.  Everything that I use in my work is eco-friendly (except the “I just graduated from College” line).”

Her studio is located in her home in Pennsylvania and her family lives and vacations in Ocean City, NJ and Aruba. Lisa also uses other mediums, such as precious metal clay (pmc is kiln fired and 98.9% silver), beach pottery from Greece and enameling. She is always updating her skills to offer new designs as often as possible.
