Do you have the itch? Not the itch you get if you forgot to shower for a day or 4, it’s the island itch. It’s a feeling you get when it’s been too long since your last trip. I have the itch.

As I’m getting older I’ve realized that the itch comes quicker and quicker. May was our last jump to the islands and now it’s September. My body is beginning to tell me that it’s over due. October can’t get here soon enough.

If you have that same island itch, hopefully these awesome stories in this week’s Wrap Up will help a little. A little medication if you will.

10 Ways Jamaica Surprised (and Didn’t Surprise) Me: Before traveling to Jamaica, I wondered what it would be like. Tourists everywhere? Super expensive? Cheap Jerk chicken? And would I smell ganja being smoked 24/7? Most of my questions were answered on my recent trip. I spent most of my time in Treasure Beach, which is off the beaten path, and some of it in the Negril area, which is not. I must say that the country took me by surprise and it was all quite positive! –Story by
