The Rum Punch is the signature drink you’ll find at bars across Providenciales on the Turks and Caicos Islands. At a certain point of sampling many rum punches, the flavors all start to taste the same. Best Rum Punch in Turks and Caicos

Traditional Rum Punch Recipe:

  • ¼ oz lime juice2 oz orange juice
  • 2 oz pineapple juice
  • ¾ oz dark rum
  • ¾ oz light rum
  • Grenadine sinker for the bottom of the glass

1. Las Brisas

Provo rum punch

This rum punch is one that truly stood apart from the rest. Las Brisas’ Rum Punch actually included banana, which strays from the traditional recipe but we thought it cut the sweetness of the pineapple and made for the most delectable of the rum punches on the island.

2. Kalooki’s

Provo rum punch

Rather than shaking or mixing up the ingredients ahead of pouring, Kalooki’s bartender showcased this stunning layered rum punch. Tasting as it good it looks; this bar hits the nail on the head when it comes to presentation and taste. What’s more is the bar features a live DJ to have you feeling the island vibes in no time.

3. Somewhere

Turks and Caicos rum punch

Get lost at Somewhere with their powerful and delicious Rum Punch. This bar is great because you’ll find Coral Gardens, a popular snorkeling spot, right off the edge of the deck. Take in the views of people snorkeling or the sunset over Grace Bay while sipping on this yummy rum concoction.

4. Bugaloo’s

Provo rum punch

A TCI staple, Bugaloo’s is must stop for both their conch and drinks. The manager, Omar, was extremely welcoming and made sure everyone in the restaurant was having a good time. This was the strongest of the rum punches we experienced (but we weren’t complaining). Eat beachside, in a retired boat, or right in the water at this casual beachfront restaurant

5. The Deck

Provo rum punch

Located on the grounds of the Seven Stars Resort, The Deck Restaurant is a good spot to stop in and sip on one of their rum punches or other house cocktails. Grace Bay is just beyond the edge of the deck and gives way to views of varying shades of turquoise while you sip on your freshly shaken drink.

6. Hemingways

Provo rum punch

Find Hemingway’s at The Sands at Grace Bay. While both the drinks we consumed at Hemingway’s were on the sweeter side, you simply can’t beat the view of the beach, potcake puppies, and fresh conch dishes served up in majestic looking conch shells.

7. Da Conch Shack

Turks and Caicos rum punch

Da Conch Shack is another TCI staple. Rather than beachside or beachfront, Da Conch Shack is a beach restaurant with a large part of the restaurant sitting right in the sand. Kick off your shoes and sip on one of Jane’s Infamous Rum Punches. If you’re feeling adventurous, try pulling a conch out of its shell at the stand right in front of the restaurant’s kitchen.

8. Mango Reef

Provo rum punch

Find the Mango Reef restaurant nestled inside the Turtle Cove marina. This rum punch was both flavorful and strong, our two main criteria when choosing the best rum punches. Have a rum punch and try hopping on the brand new Floating Tiki Hut Bar that will take you on a cruise across Grace Bay.

9. Tiki Hut

Provo rum punch

Tiki Hut’s Rum Punch was delicious; however, it was less impressive than its sister signature drink, the Tiki Temptation. Although, we still recommend trying both… for the experience. Be forewarned, the Tiki Temptation boasts that after 3.5 drinks you’ll be naked.

10. Sharkbite

Provo rum punch

For us, the food at Sharkbite largely overshadowed their rum punch. Go for the Rum Punch and harbor views but stay for the conch salad, seriously.

11. Froggies

Turks and Caicos

A bit off the beaten path, in more of what would be considered local’s territory, you’ll find Froggies. This casual eatery and bar serves up some potent drinks and fresh snacks beachside. We recommend this place last on the list but if you’re out for a Froggies’s ATV adventure, you should stop in.
