Looking for an idyllic Caribbean escape? Under-the-radar Anguilla is the perfect destination for travelers looking for that private slice of paradise.

Want to chill on some of the best beaches in the Caribbean? Take your pick from any of the 33 (yes you read that right!) beaches scattered along the coastline of this tiny 35-square mile island. Each and every one a sight to behold – glistening white sands and picture-perfect blue waters.

Once you have made the smart decision to head to Anguilla, the next thing on the to do list would be finding the right accommodation for your stay. While this exclusive island may be small, there is no lack of choice when it comes to finding a place to rest your head. From boutique inns to luxury resorts, you can have your pick.

One of our top picks when it comes to luxury resorts on Anguilla is the Four Seasons Anguilla Resort & Residence. Read on to discover why.

Covid-19 Updates

In light of the latest COVID-19 guidelines, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Anguilla is currently closed, but are accepting reservations for stays from November 1, 2020, onward. Book online now or call the Resort directly for assistance.

Please ensure that you are up to date on the latest government regulations when traveling. Upon reopening, there will be a screening procedure that may include temperature checking as well as a series of questions regarding health and recent travel.

Their employees will be wearing masks. In accordance with the advice of medical experts and industry best practices, all guests (age 10 and above) will be required to wear a mask or face covering when in public indoor spaces on property and when receiving service while in their guest room. Masks are strongly recommended for children age 2-9 years old.

In some jurisdictions, additional or more stringent regulations on mask usage are mandated and must therefore apply. This hotel adheres to the more stringent requirement between Four Seasons Corporate Policy and local regulations. This policy is effective as of August 26, 2020 globally.

How to get to Anguilla

There are several ways you can make your way to this “secret” Caribbean hideaway:

  • From St. Martin Island: Sea shuttle (25 minutes by boat) or plane (7 minutes)
  • From Antigua, Puerto Rico or St. Kitts Island: Fly into Anguilla’s airport
  • From anywhere else: Fly directly to Anguilla’s airport via private jet (no surprise there, given that Anguilla is an exclusive playground for the rich)

Regardless where you are traveling from, the Four Seasons Anguilla’s concierge team can assist with your transportation needs to the hotel, though we typically always recommend renting a car so you can easily explore the island. As expected of a world-class five-star hotel, you can expect to experience their top-notch hospitality right from the start of your trip.

Four Season Anguilla Location

FS Anguilla location

Nestled in between the white stretches of Barnes Bay and Meads Bay (some of the best beaches on island), the Four Seasons Anguilla lays claim one of best beachfronts on the island. Don’t want to travel too far from the resort to chill by the beach? Then you will absolutely love the location of Four Season Anguilla.

Located on the northwest shore, the sprawling 35-acre resort gives off an air of seclusion – much like an exclusive island hideaway. Perfect for the resort’s upscale clientele.

Given Anguilla’s small size, getting to anywhere around the island from the resort is pretty easy:

  • Few minutes drive to the nearest golf course
  • 16 minutes ride to the ferry terminal
  • 18 minutes drive to the airport

Four Seasons Anguilla Reviews

We’re not the only ones who love the Four Seasons Anguilla. Hear from others who have absolutely loved their stay.

Erik M from Washington (TripAdvisor) summarizes it pretty well:

“Spent 2 weeks in late January at the FS Anguilla and was one of the best vacations we have had. We stayed in one of the villa’s and had a blast! Personal concierge, our own pool and hot tub to ourselves and privacy. The customer service throughout the resort was top notch, and some of the friendliest hotel employees I have ever experienced. Favorite spot to hang out was the Half Shell Beach Bar and Beach. Exceptional service all day long.”

Some improvements perhaps in having larger gyms? As Mrromp from Pennsylvania suggests:

“The gym was great, though it did get a little busy in the morning. Nonetheless, there are a number of cardio and weight machines, as well as a spin room and stretching room. Well-stocked equipment wise with sufficient floor space for mat workouts.”
