Is Roatan on your list for the perfect Caribbean getaway? We love your choice! Home to some of the world’s best diving and snorkeling sites, picturesque beaches, friendly sloth habitats and more, there’s so much the little island paradise can offer.

Now to find a place to stay!

Interestingly, because of Roatan’s small population, (only 45,000 people on the island!) and the fact that it’s pretty much a hidden gem, there’s a general lack of presence of any large hotel chains. Instead, you will find a wide variety of family run or boutique accommodations run by the locals or expat community.

If you’re looking for a Roatan all-inclusive resort, our pick is the Tranquilseas Resort Roatan! Read on to learn why we think so!

Where is the Tranquilseas Resort Roatan located?

The Tranquilseas resort is located on the beachfront of Sandy Bay Beach just minutes away from one of the world’s largest barrier reefs! Imagine that, world class scuba diving and snorkeling experiences just within a few steps from your accommodation.

Located along the northwestern edge of the Roatan island, Tranquilseas Eco Resort has carved out its very own tranquil oasis off the beaten track. Hidden just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the local community, yet close enough for you to head out and discover the fun and adventure the island can offer.

Be it the airport, diving activities or bustling beach scenes, “home” will never be too far away:

  • A short 7km away from the Juan Manuel Galvez Airport so you do not have to endure the long ride to the accommodation
  • A stone’s throw away from the sleepy and laid-back Sandy Bay Beach, a Marine National Park and even a Botanical Garden
  • 6 minutes away from the bustling Half Moon Bay for adventurous water sports
  • 4 minutes away from an adrenaline inducing Jungle Canopy Zipline
  • Or even a short 17 minutes from the Port and town center of Roatan

If you’re looking for a peaceful space to relax yet still want to explore the island, this Roatan Resort is definitely a good place to rest your head.

Tranquilseas Resort Roatan Reviews

Hear from others who loved their stay at this Roatan Eco Beach Resort!

Julia shares her most recent experience while traveling during COVID, “Tranquilseas treated me like royalty and made sure that I was not only having an amazing experience but that everything and everyone was safe as well. Biosecurity procedures were followed and were well above standard. I stayed in the King Crab room – incredible ocean views and peaceful relaxing time. The staff is nothing short of exceptional – AND the Chef – OMG the Chef made the most incredible food. I think I gained 10lbs that week. Tranquilseas has my heart.”

Rachel from California who travelled with her family for a diving trip shared, “ We stayed at Tranquilseas for eight nights while on a family diving trip (our kids are 8 and 11), it was our second time at the resort. We love the small size and location on Sandy Bay. The public areas of the resort are lovely, and we enjoyed all our meals in the onsite restaurant, and the staff is friendly and dedicated. The adjacent beach is clean and relaxing to stroll along, and the sunsets from the swings on the dock are memorable”.
