Salt Life Caribbean Youtube channel

It happens every year, people everywhere scream to themselves, “how is it time to think about Christmas shopping already?!”

Yes, it’s about that time.

If you’re shopping for someone who is a beach loving, Caribbean crazy, salty soul pirate…then you’re in the right place.

We have put together a list of the best island lifestyle gift ideas for your 2020 Christmas shopping list. You’ll find things for her, things for him, stocking stuffers and unique items you’ll find nowhere else.

So let’s dive in and find some Christmas gift idea your loved ones will love.

1. Marahlago – Caribbean Larimar Jewelry

Larimar bracelets

Larimar Jewelry Marahlago

Larimar is sometimes called the Stone of the Caribbean or the Mermaid Stone. Its beautiful hues of light blue resemble that of the shallow blue waters you see in the Caribbean. The interesting part is, this stone can only be found in the Caribbean.

As a man whose wife loves the islands, getting her Larimar jewelry is a guaranteed win.

We were just introduced to a company called Marahlago that specializes in Larimar jewelry. They have amazing necklaces, bracelets, pendants, earrings and more. It’s the best line of Larimar jewelry I’ve found and I promise you they will have something that fits your partner’s taste perfectly.

We reached out to Marahlago and got our readers (YOU!) a 10% discount. Just use the promo code: CASTAWAYS when you check out and you’ll get 10% off.

You can browse the Marahlago site here to find the perfect Christmas gift.

2. Beach.ly – The Beach Box

Beachly Box

Beachly (formerly Coastal Co.) is a quarterly curation of beach-inspired lifestyle products. Tailored to the season and your location, the Beachly members will be rocking the best in beach style year-round.

Being that we love to support coastal conservation, we love Beachly because they donate 1% of proceeds toward beach cleanups and coastline protection.

My wife, Castaway Crystal, is a Beachly member and she gets excited with the anticipation for the arrival of each box.

I just learned that they have a men’s box as well, so if your man is a beach loving castaway, then he will most likely love a subscription to the Beachly box as well.

You can learn more and sign up to Beachly here.

3. The Only Caribbean Discount Card

This makes a great stocking stuffer and will put the receiver in an elite class of beach bum. It will help them travel more, and pay less.

4. HIHO – Island Apparel

If you’re looking for great island clothing, then you have to check out HIHO. Based out of the British Virgin Islands, HIHO has men’s and women’s clothing for both the beach and boat, as well as for around town.

They offer some of the best sun shirts, coverups, and high quality fabrics that I’ve found in the islands.

If the people on your Christmas list love island clothing, then you’ll definitely want to browse the HIHO website.

5. Cool Retro Island Posters

Caribbean Posters

If you’re looking for some cool island art to decorate an office, den or man cave, then you’ll want to check out artist Alex Asfour of IdeaStorm Studios.

Alex works on an array of projects that focus on his passions for art, design, and travel.

Started in 2012, the World Travel Poster Collection is a series of illustrated travel posters inspired by his love of bold design, subtle texture, and colorful illustration. Each piece is carefully illustrated using the techniques learned throughout his career and inspired by the poster artists of the early 20th century.

They come well protected in a tube, but you’ll want to get them framed.

He has a great looking Caribbean collection that you’ll want to check out.

You can browse his different island posters here.

6. Island Fancy Ornaments & Gifts

St. John christmas gifts

Based out of one of our favorite Caribbean islands, St. John USVI, Island Fancy is a small island business that’s big on personality and charm.

This colorful and creative store is full of fun tropical gifts, Caribbean crafts, art by local artists, and charming souvenirs of St John and the USVI.

Island Fancy offers the largest selection of ornaments on island, so it’s the perfect place to grab something to put on the tree that you’ll remember forever.

They have a little bit of everything; hot sauces, clothing, ornaments, souvenirs, art, and lots more. If you love St. John, which I know many of you do! Then you’ll love Island Fancy. If you’re on island, you can find the store at Mongoose Junction.

Browse the Island Fancy website here.

7. The Last Raft

The Last Raft

The Last Raft is a book by one of our favorite authors, John H. Cunningham (author of the Buck Reilly series.)

The Last Raft is a story that focuses on five desperate people that flee Cuba aboard a homemade raft following an exodus of a hundred thousand countrymen. Oblivious to escalating geopolitical hostilities; American senators who want to preserve the decades-old embargo and oppose the President’s desire to embrace change; and the civil unrest brewing ahead, the rafters risk their lives to change their lives.

You can get the book on Amazon here.

8. The YETI Hopper M30 Portable Soft Cooler

yeti bag cooler

This is the cooler we have and we take it everywhere! We love this style because it can hold a huge amount of food, drinks, and ice. It easily can hold a 24 pack of beer, full bag of ice, and still have room for sandwiches on top.

We also love it because in true YETI fashion, the ice doesn’t melt. We’ve used it over long weekends and the original ice stays in there for two days. I don’t know how they do it, but it’s pretty awesome. If you’re in need of a cooler upgrade, we highly recommend this style.

You can grab on Amazon here.

9. Papa’s Pilar Rum

rum christmas gift ideas

Give the gift of rum! If you have a rum loving castaway on your Christmas list then I know they would love a bottle or two of the rum branded after Hemingway himself, Papa’s Pilar.

This is one of my favorite rums and I highly recommend it. Each expression is carefully crafted and tastes amazing. You can mix them in cocktails or drink them neat.

Because we love Papa’s Pilar so much, we can get you 10% off anything in the Papa Pilar’s Online Store. Just use the Promo Code: RUMSHOPRYAN

You can shop for Papa’s Pilar rum and swag here.

10. Costa del Mar Sunglasses

costa gift ideas

Anyone who spends a lot of time outside should have a pair of Costa sunglasses. They not only have a great program that will fix or replace your glasses if they are damaged, but the quality of the frames and lenses are the best I’ve seen. Especially if you spend time around the water.

These glasses let you see into the water, giving you better vision when boating or fishing. They just make everything look so much better! It’s pretty amazing.

I’ve had my pair going on 7 years now and they still look great. They are the only brand I will wear. Plus, they have a ton of different styles and colors for both men and women.

You can browse Costa sunglasses here and find some great prices.

11. A Trip On The Key West Express

Key West Express

Giving the gift of travel has to be one of the best gifts one can receive. I know that many people can’t or don’t want to travel down to the Caribbean right now due to all the Covid-19 restrictions, but you can still visit America’s Caribbean…Key West.

Key West is one of our favorite places to visit and just about one of the only stress-free island getaways people in the US can do right now. So a great gift idea is tickets aboard the Key West Express.

The Key West Express is the fast ferry that travels between Fort Myers Beach and Key West daily (depending on weather). In my opinion, it’s the best way to get to Key West. It’s faster than driving and you don’t have any of the stress. Just sit back with a cold drink watch the Gulf waters whiz by.

And right now is the great time to buy tickets, because they are currently running their annual $99 sales. It’s the only time they discount their tickets and it will save you about $56 dollars. Not a bad deal for a round trip ticket to the tropical escape of Key West.

You can purchase Key West Express tickets here.

I hope this list gives you some fun Christmas gift ideas for the island and beach loving people on your shopping list. If you have any other great gift ideas, hit us up on Instagram at @CaribbeanCastaways and send us a direct message with your ideas. We might just include them in this list.

Happy shopping and Merry Christmas!
